This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate learning and maintain and enhance professional practice through competency-based assessment in a range of settings.

To ensure students gain an understanding of what is expected throughout the training and meet competency the training is delivered in face to face classroom sessions which usually consist of no more than 12 persons. Often there is skill set funding available allowing students to complete 5 units for FREE. Students are then able to complete the remaining 5 units at a discount of 50% with Australian Training Professionals to obtain the full Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE40110). AssessmentThe units in this qualification are designed to be practiced and assessed in the workplace. Workplace application is desirable to ensure that competence to the standard required by this industry sector has been attained. Participants will also be assessed in a variety of other ways during the course which includes case studies, group discussions, role plays, demonstration, scenarios, and assignments. Course Pre-requisitesEnglish language and literacy requirements are necessary which include communications, interpersonal skills and the ability to write a range of documentation. Candidates must also be able to apply technology such as basic computer skills: produce documents, have access to a computer and research and analyse information on-line. Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC)If you are already working in a role as a Trainer/Assessor and/or have recent significant experience in this field this is the perfect opportunity to obtain your qualification. Participants will need to supply sufficient, relevant, valid and authentic evidence to confirm competency in the units that meet the criteria for this qualification. For participants who cannot meet all the requirements, we offer the course via blended learning, which is a combination of assessment tasks, a supporting evidence portfolio, self paced study and practical demonstration to ensure competency. You will learn how to design and develop learning programs and resources to support delivery and how to plan and organise assessment, design and develop assessment tools and assess competency in a Vocational, Training & Education environment.
Some people already have the “old” Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (BSZ40198). Others have the slightly more recent TAA40104 however these are both becoming obsolete and you will eventually be required to upgrade to TAE40110. Luckily you will not be required to do the full qualification all over again.
